Our First Week

Today Tyler is 6 days old and he decided to give Mommy and Daddy the best present of all last night........sleep!!!! I want to thank Fischer-Price for making the woodland bouncer seat! After 4 nights of him not sleeping too well during the night we decided to place him in this bouncer/vibrating seat. Anthony slept with him in the den and let me sleep in the bed. He slept all night long and Anthony only woke me twice to feed him! It was wonderful!


Yesterday we took our first outing to Nana and Granddad's house! She cooked us a big lunch and then all the neighbors came over to see Tyler. As usual, Maddie came along with us because she loves to ride in cars and see Granddaddy too! She has been excellent with Tyler and has seemed to already accept him as part of our family.

Motherhood has been WONDERFUL so far and I never knew I could love someone as much as I do Tyler. It's a different kind of love that I never understood before. The love is unconditional and it makes me realize how much God really loves us.


I couldn't have made it through this first week without the help of family and friends. Anthony has been the best daddy and husband I could ever ask for. He makes everything so much easier on me and I love him very much. My mom and dad have been great and I know will help me out any way they can. I couldn't have asked for better parents! I have also relied on my best friend Jenny to help me out in the hospital and while I've been home. She has been great and helped make everything much easier!
